The rails are tucked down and soft in the forward section of the board allowing for generous planing speed and smooth turns. The tail is pulled in and the rails become pinched creating more hold and control than common boards of this style. The bottom features a generous single concave into a spiral vee under the fins. This gives the board momentum and lift when surfed off the front foot and lots of drive when surfed from the back.

I generally recommend it to be ridden about a foot longer than your everyday shortboard, which provides a generous increase in volume while still allowing it to be surfed off the tail.
